Leadership in Listening

The online executive course Leadership in Listening is based on the book by Victor Pierau. This training significantly improves listening skills and therefore creates better, more authentic leaders.
During the training, theory is often combined with practice and participants are given many opportunities to practice with newly learned skills. 

The program consists of 10 weekly sessions. These sessions take place online via Zoom.

Prior to a training session, the participants receive short inspiring introductory video lectures in which the theory is discussed.


During the live sessions, the theory is explained in more detail and there is practice with cases and role plays.


The group size is 12 participants, who are always accompanied by 2 trainers, so there is ample opportunity for personal intervision and coaching.


An Online Learning Environment is created for each participant, where the participants can keep track of their progress during the program.


Target audience

This Leadership in Listening course is intended for professional listeners: executives who provide leadership and professionals who communicate a lot with other people.


Think of: CEOs, Team Leaders, Healthcare Professionals, Government Managers, regardless of industry or field.

Practical information

The Leadership in Listening training is a program of 6 modules in 10 weeks with an online training session of 1 or 2 hours per week. 


The online sessions are hosted through the Zoom program. 
In addition, a personal digital learning environment will be set up for the participants in Google Classroom. Instructions for use of both of these programs will be communicated before the start of the training.

Victor Pierau

Victor is an economist with extensive experience in business and psychotherapy. He is fascinated by human interaction and has spent many years studying the science of listening. He discovered that Listening takes place on seven levels. He wrote a fascinating and educational book about this, entitled: Leadership in Listening. He has been training and coaching various professionals and entire organisations in better Listening for years.
